About me

Ruth Torres holding her work …and very gently close your eyes

Art as an emotional and meditative explosion. I give myself fully to the inner voice.

Spiritual Art was born from my passion for art and for yoga. When you practise yoga you meditate, and you also meditate while doing other activities. My being interprets, and my hand lets itself go, as my soul does.

I dream of a world where each person places their talent at the service of the heart, creating from authenticity and joy.

Shanti Prema: peace and love in every breath.

Who I am

I’m Ruth Torres San Julián. My spiritual name is Arti Param Kaur, and I also call myself the Yogi of the Rose: in summer, during hatha yoga classes on the beach, I hold my microphone in place with a red rose, which I identify with for my femininity and creativity.

I’m a graphic communicator and art editor, reinvented and passionate about learning, because life is there for learning and evolving. I move through it in an improvised dance, with small steps, following my intuition and my values.

How I paint

I love to let myself go on canvases, whether they are walls, furniture or other spaces. I like to express myself visually, and I meditate when I do.

My works are acrylic on canvas. It’s what I call emotional abstract movement, because it leads you to a state of observing the emotions of your own being. I also hand-paint yoga mats to order, so that each one becomes a sacred object of practice.

I have exhibited Spiritual Art at The Loaf. Today you can see my work in this gallery and at my studio in S’Escorxador, Palma de Mallorca.

Art and yoga

I’ve been a hatha yoga and meditation instructor since 2018, and I’m a Reiki master and the coordinator of LovingOm. I trained, among other places, at The Yoga Institute in India, and that journey stayed in my painting: …and very gently close your eyes was born in gratitude for the welcome I received.
